Frequency of any BQCS's banner ad (I) appearing on a section (N) is determined each month according to the following forumula:

f(I,N) = PPT(I,N)*1/2 + POS(I,N)*1/2 less than or equal to 1

  • If section N has no recurring costs

    PPT(I,N)=PT(I)

where PT(I) = fraction of total recurring costs contributed by company I to all pages/site wide each month

  • If section N has it's own recurring costs RC(N) then

    PPT(I,N) = [PPCT(I,N) + (1 - PPCT(I,N))*PT(I)]

Where PPCT(I,N) is the percentage of total section N's recurring costs (RC(N)) company I is contributing on the month it's banner ad display frequency is to be calculated.

  • POS(I,N) = Percentage of total one-time & total recurring donation(s) to fixed page cost on section N by company I

These formula's are determined to accomplish the following:

  • First to allow a mechanism for sponsors who would like to have banner advertising on this site to do so in a way that is consistent with the desired goal of paying for the creation of the elements on this site.
  • Second to allow sponsorship by anyone even at low levels. I don't want to make a minimum contribution - but for listings in the sponsorship pages - site wide minimum one-time is $10, for a specific page minimum is $5.
  • To create additional inducement to BQRS's to also make one-time contributions to portions of the site which they desire to have greater advertising exposure.
  • To reserve space for 3rd party advertisements in relation to unpaid sections of the site and directly in proportion to the amount of unpaid fixed cost.
  • Also to allow for continued modification and expansion of sections of the site or the site as a whole.
  • The ultimate goal is to effectively have the site paid off and generating income which would then be applied to new additions to the site, paying for new hardware, faster connection, new features, cameras, new projects, etc. Also note that in some cases the details of future projects may have to remain secret to prevent competitors from stealing and doing the ideas before us. Hence some of those projects may seem to require a large amount of capital for a specific unknown. But rest assured there are good reasons
  • One final note: because we are setting prices on elements of this site in no way does this mean the sponsors whether one-time or recurring of those sections have any rights, privledges beyond what would be delinated in contracts between the maintainer of this site and the sponsor itself. We also state with matter of factness that nothing in the above should be contrued or does mean to imply any guarantee or warranty that this site will still be here at any time in the future. We sincerely hope this will not be the case, and will continue to work to make this site a success and have all intent to find the means to make this site a permenent addition to the internet as a whole.
An Example follows below:
  • Site has seven sections top, and 1-6
  • Company A contributes $500/month and has accumulated a total of $3000 site wide, Company B contributes $400/month and has an accumulated total of $800 site wide, the site total (this would pertian to accumulated recurring costs since sites inception, NIC costs, hardware, etc.) excluding individual pages is 10K
  • In section 1 which has it's own recurring cost of $100/month Compnay C contributes $50/month and has an accumulated total of $50. Total accumulate fixed page cost is $500
  • In section 2 which has it's own total recurring cost of $200/month Company D contributed $50/month and has an accumulated total of $150. Company B made a one-time contribution to this page of $150, the total current fixed page cost is $1000
  • In Section 3 which has no recurring costs Company C makes a one-time contribution of $100, total fixed page cost of 200.
  • Sections 4-6 all have total fixed page costs of $200..
  • Shown below is the calculation of the percentage of the time each companies banner would be displayed with the above example numbers.

    f(A,top) = 500/1000*1/2 + 3000/10000*1/2 = 1/4 + 3/20 = .40
    f(B,top) = 400/1000*1/2 + 800/10000*1/2 = 1/5 + 1/25 = .24
    f(C,top) = 50/1000*1/2 + 0/10000 = .025
    f(D,top) = 50/1000*1/2 + 0/10000 = .025
    f(site,top) = .31

    f(A,1) = 1/2*[0/100 + (1-0/100)*(500/1000)] + 1/2*0/500 = .25
    f(B,1) = 1/2*[0/100 + (1-0/100)*(400/1000)] + 1/2*0/500 = .20
    f(C,1) = 1/2*[50/100 + (1-50/100)*(50/1000)] + 1/2*50/500 = .3125
    f(D,1) = 1/2*[0/100 + (1-0/100)*(50/1000)] + 1/2*0/500 = .025
    f(site,1) = .2125

    f(A,2) = 1/2*[0/200 + (1-0/200)*(500/1000)] + 1/2*0/1000 = .25
    f(B,2) = 1/2*[0/200 + (1-0/200)*(400/1000)] + 1/2*150/1000 = .275
    f(C,2) = 1/2*[0/200 + (1-0/200)*(50/1000)] + 1/2*0/1000 = .025
    f(D,2) = 1/2*[50/200 + (1-50/200)*(50/1000)] + 1/2*150/1000 = .2375
    f(site,2) = .2125

    f(A,3) = 1/2*(500/1000) + 1/2*0/200 = .25
    f(B,3) = 1/2*(400/1000) + 1/2*0/200 = .20
    f(C,3) = 1/2*(50/1000) + 1/2*100/200 = .275
    f(D,3) = 1/2*(50/1000) + 1/2*0/200 = .025
    f(site,3) = .225

    f(A,4-6) = 1/2*(500/1000) + 1/2*0/200 = .25
    f(B,4-6) = 1/2*(400/1000) + 1/2*0/200 = .20
    f(C,4-6) = 1/2*(50/1000) + 1/2*0/200 = .025
    f(D,4-6) = 1/2*(50/1000) + 1/2*0/200 = .025
    f(site,3) = .50
